Contemporary Role of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance in the Management of Patients with Suspected or Known Coronary Artery Disease

نویسندگان

چکیده

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is a useful non-invasive radiation-free modality for the management of patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). CMR cine provides “gold standard” assessment ventricular function, late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) data diagnosis and extent myocardial scar viability, while stress an established technique detection perfusion defects indicating ischemia. Beyond its role in CAD, allows accurate risk stratification CAD. This review aims to summarize regarding contemporary suspected or known disease.

The prognostic value of stress/rest gated myocardial perfusion SPECT in patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease

Introduction:Gated myocardial perfusion SPECT has diagnostic and prognostic values in coronary artery disease (CAD). We tried to determine prognostic values of the left ventricular perfusion & functional indices as well as transient left ventricular dilation (TID) derived from gated myocardial perfusion SPECT. Methods: 1820patients who underwent gated myo...

Stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging provides effective cardiac risk reclassification in patients with known or suspected stable coronary artery disease.

BACKGROUND A recent large-scale clinical trial found that an initial invasive strategy does not improve cardiac outcomes beyond optimized medical therapy in patients with stable coronary artery disease. Novel methods to stratify at-risk patients may refine therapeutic decisions to improve outcomes. METHODS AND RESULTS In a cohort of 815 consecutive patients referred for evaluation of myocardi...

Stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging effectively reclassifies risk in patients with known or suspected stable coronary artery disease

Background A recent large-scale clinical trial has indicated that an initial invasive strategy does not improve cardiac outcomes beyond optimized medical therapy in patients with stable coronary artery disease (CAD). Therefore, novel methods to stratify at-risk patients may refine therapeutic decisions and improve outcomes. We sought to test the hypothesis that stress cardiac magnetic resonance...

Cardiac calcification by transthoracic echocardiography in patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease.

OBJECTIVES To estimate the correlation between the total heart calcification score index (CSI), assessed by echocardiography, left ventricle mass index (LVMI), Framingham risk score (FRS), and angiographically assessed coronary artery disease (CAD). BACKGROUND Aortic valve and root sclerosis (AVS, ARS) and mitral annular calcium (MAC) detected by echocardiography have been associated with ath...
